Should the cold drink cups be made of single PE or double PE paper?
Cold drink cups are usually made of double PE coated paper to increase hardness and prevent the cups from becoming soft due to water absorption.Single PE coated paper cups are typically used for hot drinks because the single PE coating can prevent water seepage, but it is not sufficient to deal with the external condensation problem caused by cold drinks. In contrast, double PE coated paper cups have PE coating on both the inner and outer surfaces, which can effectively prevent the cold drink cups from becoming soft due to water absorption, maintain the cup's straightness, and enhance the user experience. Additionally, cold drink cups usually use double PE coating, with a small amount of inner PE coating, to ensure the structural integrity of the cup when in contact with cold drinks. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use double PE coated paper for cold drink cups.
